Randy RichardsonRandy Richardson is President of Richardson Construction, Inc. (RCI) and has owned his own business since 1981.  Randy began his general contracting business in California and worked there for eleven years before moving to Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1992.  RCI has been serving as a General Contractor on a variety of commercial projects in the Cheyenne area ever since.  The commercial projects have varied in size and scope with some contracts exceeding more than $14.5 million dollars.

Randy prides himself on being able to deliver a quality project, at or under budget, and always within the scheduled timeframe.  Randy has completed Union Carpenter’s Apprentice Program and Construction Estimating Institute’s Project Management courses successfully.  In addition, Randy worked in the trade for six years before turning his success into his own privately owned business. RCI’s scope of work for projects includes design-build, tilt-up, engineer approved structures, value engineering, and designing cost-effective buildings to tackle today’s energy efficient demands.

Besides doing the majority of RCI’s estimating, Randy has worked with numerous architects, engineers, and owners in preparing budget and cost analysis on various projects.  Randy has the privilege of working with a core group of subcontractors who have worked for RCI for many years and have proven themselves in terms of quality workmanship, professionalism, and integrity. 

Clay Weibel

Senior Project Manager

Clay WeibelClay Weibel started his career in residential construction by working in his family’s business - Weibel Construction, a General Contractor based in Laramie, WY.  Clay worked his way from Laborer through the ranks acquiring experience in all phases of construction while completing his Bachelors of Science in Wildlife Management and Conservation at the University of Wyoming.  In 1998, he moved to Cheyenne, WY where he started working for RCI as a Carpenter and once again worked his way through the ranks, becoming the Senior Project Manager. 

Clay’s experience in multiple facets of construction makes him the prime candidate for RCI’s Senior Project Manager.  He supervises the field crews, works on estimating, scheduling manpower, ordering, and works hand in hand with Architects and Engineers of various projects.  Clay has managed projects on the residential side as well as small and large commercial projects.  His attention to detail and commitment to excellence has supported RCI in their success.

Doug Mainwaring

Project Manager

Doug MainwaringBefore joining the RCI team Doug worked in the IT field since graduation from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Criminal Justice.  He also holds an Associate's Degree in Computer Science and several certificates in the IT field.  He worked for the State of Wyoming for over five years before joined RCI in 2010.  During his time with the State, he helped launch numerous statewide and internationally accessible platforms to assist in providing information sharing systems to law enforcement agencies throughout Wyoming.

Doug has successfully completed OSHA safety training and has applied this knowledge to the company’s health and wellnesss practices. His experience gained working for the State of Wyoming has aided in his success as a Project Manager.   Doug is the Lead Project Manager for RCI’s residential developments, mulitple commerical projects and has worked with numerous subcontractors and vendors during his time with RCI.

Charlie Swainson

Charlie SwainsonCharlie has worked in construction his entire life.  He began his construction experience building log homes from foundation to completion with his father at Rawhide Log Homes in 1983.  Charlie has also worked for a commercial contractor, as well as a siding and windows before joining RCI in 2002.

Charlie is currently supervising several projects in Cheyenne. Over the years, he has supervised RCI projects in the residential and commercial sides. Charlie’s dedication to detail and interpersonal communication skills keep projects running smoothly.  These skills have earned him numerous accolades from owners and the construction community.

Kathy Sitzman

Office Manager and Project Administrator

Kathy SitzmanKathy began her career in accounting working for Certified Public Accounting (CPA) firms for six years. She did audit work, preparation of financial statements, and tax returns for individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations. Kathy has also performed management advisory services for non-profit organizations allowing them to complete year end financials and tax returns in addition to setting up office procedures.  In addition to her vast accounting experience, she also holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration from UNC of Colorado.

Kathy started with RCI in 1998, she is now working as the contract administrator of projects, project management including construction documentation and fiscal management of the projects.  She also assists in project communication, scheduling, and personnel management in the office.

Gretchen Morrison

Payroll and Accounting Manager

After graduation from the University of Wyoming, Gretchen began her work in the field of construction as a mortgage underwriter in 2003.  After a slowdown in the lending industry, she worked for a residential developer where she managed seven different trades working in four different Wyoming communities.  Each of the trades were treated as a separate company that Gretchen did all the accounting, payroll, and construction draws for in each community.  At the close of the developments Gretchen choose to broaden her horizon and knowledge by working in various industries such as marketing, insurance, and finally as an Operations Manager for the Wyoming Society of CPAs.

While at the Society she was responsible for Human Resources, all accounting functions including reporting to the Board of Trustees and members. Gretchen was also responsible for the Annual Financial Review and any audits.  She managed the office, employees’ continued education, and was responsible for an increase in member satisfaction.   After Gretchen completed her Master of Business Administration, she quickly outgrew the Society and became a member of the RCI team as the Accountant.  With her strong background in accounting, administration, and construction, Gretchen serves as a vital member of the administration staff.
